In 200-250 words summarize how propaganda changes people’s actions and expectations

Thesis statement
Propaganda seeks to change the way people understand an issue or situation, for the purpose of changing their actions and expectations in ways that are desirable to the interest group. (2m)

1. Propaganda refers to an act of falsifying or misleading information deliberately that support a political cause or the interests of those in power by
i. preventing people from knowing true information.
ii. by using special words, special avoidance of words or by saying that the enemy is responsible for certain things he never did to create hatred against a specific group.
iii. by spreading false information meant to reassure people who already believed the false information.

2. In the history of mankind, there have been several methods used to control people.
i. providing information that will allow a particular group of people to be isolated from the mass;
ii. use confusion or diversion to split a major issue into separate components that can work to resurrect failed but desired consequences;
iii. using the principle of 'divide and conquer' to maintain control over disparate groups and propaganda provides the information upon which separation is based.
iv. place specific people and unruly groups in a position where they must react and forcing people to react as a large group.
v. prevent individuals from acting against government coercion by forcing them to react to disinformation and misinformation which allows individuals in power to pursue their own private agenda.
vi. coerce citizens into adopting certain behaviors by directing the manner in which the coercion is focused
